The RED SEA clue was my favorite in a while.

Great puzzle. Had READS for TAKES, SNOG for NECK and the worst, PSYCHOTHERAPIST for SPEECH THERAPIST. Pretty sure I hit every trap the constructor set for me. Was very pleased when I changed those answers, though.

Until I read Deb's column, I naturally assumed that the 'Urban artist' was KEITH Haring. Guess I'm showing my age.

For the record, NENA was the stage name for Gabriele Susanne Kerner, and she stuck with it, but it was also the name of the band. Clearly it could be clued both ways. Pretty good puzzle today.

I had never heard of NERFING before, but thinking about it - as a guy who always had a nerf football lying around as a kid - it's really a sensible term. This was a great puzzle!

Had SIESTA for forty winks - erasing that answer finished it for me (that and UPS instead of USS). Great crossword

Enjoyed this puzzle, but it was a tough one for me. I laughed when "VESTS" turned out to be the correct answer; it was actually my first guess. I live and work in Silicon Valley - the tight puffy vests are omnipresent!

Some puzzles are better than others. This was an extremely clever and satisfying solve.

Had BADGER for playful teasing. Really messed me up!

25 Across really, really kicked my butt. Years ago I worked for an alternative dispute resolution organization - could NOT make the switch and kept staring at SYMAN. Good puzzle.

My best ever Tuesday time, so thanks for that. I wonder what the record is for "k"s in a puzzle? I thought that was a very cool aspect of this one.

Next week, the Castro Theatre will only be showing noirs. They'll be playing some of my favorite noirs. Been a while since I've seen those noirs on the big screen.

@Michael I truly didn't know it was spelled any other way than drily (middle-aged American here). Good to know both spellings are used - might unstick me on a future puzzle.

@Valerie I saw that movie. We do not want him for President, as it turns out.

Roll up a reefer is often used. By rookie narcs, that is.

@Catherine That clue was probably for old-timers like me. The announcement of Jackson's Bad Tour was as big as the Taylor Swift/Beyonce tours are today. It was hyped worldwide.
