Finished quickly...but couldn't find the incorrect box. Turned out no one's ever RAN AMuK and there's no OTuE tribe!
Good morning! Started last night, woke up and had the right perspective immediately on some tricky clues ("Of course it's not a sound-sound, it's a sound!) HAVENOT had this much Friday fun in a while, great debut!
Congrats on the first puzzle! Just think--this was someone out there's first solve. What a connection!
Personally, I think it was absolutely fine for a Tuesday, if a little weak theme-wise. I was set on dots and dashes for morse code--when did we start using DITs and dahs?
Alternatively, you could ask the editors to share their streaming service login information. Both would solve your issue.
@Chris My gentile wife pulled "Yenta" out of nowhere. I asked her how, she shrugged and said "old episodes of The Nanny."
"More of a MAXI, today!"
@Colin I had WORKONGOING. Fine and Pass fit better with a B grade, but I had strict parents.
Very common musical mondegreen. We learned "Kookaburra" at a church camp, where we sang another song, "Keep Thou My Way"-- "Kept by thy tender care, Gladly, the cross-eyed bear."
@Mean Old Lady I had NEEDLE for 25D and DEAD for 50D--meaning 50A, 57A, and 63A had me in a dAZE.
PARKINGFINE is good, but I insist my wrong answer--WORKONGOING--is much better.
I've also seen it written as Woolie!
This is the kind of comment I would make up to poke fun at the average NYT reader.
