ALLATINGLE 🤦🏻♀️ That one was just bad.
Solved this in record time. Perhaps it's because the type of clue used is similar to how words are pronounced in Utah.
Another Tuesday that should've been a Monday.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, have lived in multiple residences in Salt Lake County, and hate this puzzle more than data centers. Not so fun fact: Utah has an English dialect where Ts are rarely pronounced. Coincidence or intentional?
_ _ _ _ _ _ and Delilah (spelling?). The clue for that biblical one made me laugh, but the story itself isn't.
I feel like the creator of this one tried a little too hard to find things that would fit, but it can't be helped. Good job for a debut.
I gave up real quick, this one wasn't fun at all. Very few people know what periwinkle is, and it isn't a natural eye color. Plus, the way it was written would've confused a lot of people. Nowadays, we say the color of something first, if I hadn't grown up in a multigenerational household I would've thought blue was something the other words described. Seriously, who let this crossword puzzle get approved?
@RL Yeah, there have been a lot of Spanish clues lately. Both of my parents know Spanish so I am somewhat familiar with the language (but I'm forever mad at them for not raising me on both English and Spanish). I usually team up with my mother for NYT crosswords with Spanish clues.
This was fun, I could get most of it but revealed the puzzle near the end. My problem was with the bottom left.
@Francis Same with Europa!
@Gareth it's Friday
Easy to solve without having to find out the theme, I think this should've been done on a day with a more difficult crossword. I could've appreciated the theme more. Besides, go bananas is an idiom.
We get it. The creator of the puzzle likes Stevie Wonder.
I completely forgot about the term mercs... Do gamers still use that term?
I don't want a soggy M&M (the candy) experience. Do you? Are there always this many debuts?
@Petrol I also thought of brawl.
@SBK in TO isn't the Autumnal Equinox on the 21st? If you're right, you better start advocating for calendars to move it to the correct day...
Hair Metal shouldn't be here, it's a derogatory term.
SWEETIE PIE, could you not use AI the next time you create a crossword?
