@SP Disagree that the theme didn’t help. Somewhat stymied until I found the revealer. Theme answers basically revealed themselves after that and the puzzle took just over half my average.

@Sara O'Bannon Try deleting all your answers and then retyping. Worked for me last Sunday when I couldn’t get the gold star with a correctly filled grid. (I do suspect that I had a typo I couldn’t see… )

@Wayne Johnson I loved this puzzle even though it took me forever to solve. Used the theme gleaned from the. Tom Hanks answer to solve other theme clues. Even realized the chance/chants trick early. So not a meaningless theme or terrible puzzle. Just because you (and many others!) didn’t like it doesn’t make it bad. And if you’re wondering about my experience, my current streak is 2454 days.
