Amazingly fun Sunday crossword, thank you! Only one thing puzzled me (apologies for the pun), why 23A had the hint with "vant" instead of "want"? I vant to knov!

Many say this is the perfect difficulty level Friday puzzle. I think I have been spoiled in the last few weeks, because this felt one of the most difficult in a long time. Still fun, and learning a lot, although just a bit too much trivia for the taste of someone from Europe.

@Mr T I practically gave up after I had no clue of any of the answers even looking at the top half (apart from Rome's main attraction) and just revealed almost everything.
