@Big0veralls as soon as I wasted my time ranting about all that I read something else and saw the word was actually saturnine not Saturn nine, as you both replied, slapped my forehead and said doh like Homer Simpson. I was surely looking for a delete button. Thanks for enlightening me further. I appreciate it.
@Amber you can do the rebus on the phone. There’s an instruction link in the app.
@Bruno tell me please. I have no idea
What was I missing? Jamesspader was actually JAMPADER thumbindex was THUMBDEX and ninja masters was NINJAASTERS. I had to check the puzzle because I had them arranged differently. It just puzzled me.
Is it not a LOOFA not ALOOF. The clue for 9 down really confused me. Talk about tricky. Downright deceiving.
@Barry Ancona they all confused me. Especially 9 down. Stand before a meeting, Lease? Didn’t make any sense until I read the article about today’s puzzle. The answer was easel. But spelled with the last letter first, hence lease. It’s trying to be clever but comes across as utterly confusing. The one about Usher and the other artist being BRAND. It too is really R and B but the constructor put the last letter first. There are a couple more like that. Just a little weird to me.
24 down. Why?! I kept looking up words trying to find out what could possibly mean gloomy as an atmosphere and had to read the article to see that it’s Saturn Nine and since three is the square root of nine then three is the answer for the rebus. In what world does any of that make sense? Saturn 9 is synonymous in what way with being gloomy as an atmosphere? I am way too literal for some of these. I should complain because I got much further on today’s puzzle without needing help than the three previous puzzles this week. How, I have no idea. Anyhow. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
@Barry Ancona so I guess Aloof also makes sense now with that bit of knowledge as Loofa is the correct response
