I recently needed to buy several black polo shirts for work. Since I was just going for whatever was reasonably affordable, I didn't pay much attention to what I bought at the time. About an hour after struggling through the SE corner's trivia, I realized that I was wearing a BEN HOGAN shirt this whole time.
@Ellie They started doing a mix of both relatively recently (last couple of years or so? I don't recall the exact timeline). My understanding is that the general rule is products aimed at younger kids now use rubber capes for durability while the multi-hundred dollar display ones for adults still use cloth, and anything inbetween is a tossup.
Every once in a while I get reminded that valuable storage space in my brain is getting taken up by something that's of almost no use. Today that happened to be knowing the exact date of International Talk Like a Pirate Day. It wasn't even very helpful in this puzzle since I figured out one of the crosses ASAP.

That clue for APPLE is just so vague. How am I supposed to know that it's using the relatively modern depiction as opposed to a more traditional 13th century one like a mushroom or banana?
