Long time player/reader, first time commenter! I gave my 2 year old a cookie the other day (chips ahoy) only to have her yell “NO NO- OWEEOH” so she could have an Oreo instead. Didn’t even know she knew the word Oreo. Great puzzle!

I’ve only been playing for about a year now and have found so much joy, humor, knowledge, and solace in the Wordplay columns. Deb, your humor, wit, and authenticity have shined through every piece of yours that I’ve read. Congrats on the soon to be retirement and cheers to doing whatever you want! You will be missed. Selfishly in my feels as I just quit a “great on paper” job to focus on my family and mental health and received my final paycheck today. I’m terrified. But quietly proud of myself too, it’s hard to find solace in anything right now while the world is falling apart. But we keep on trucking. And it makes me happy to see people doing things for themselves in the name of “this would make me happier”. I haven’t even finished the puzzle yet (though I’m “wheely” enjoying the theme). Was just in my feels and had to say something. Ok lemme go solve this thing 😂.

This was soo good. Brooklyn 99, Andre Braugher’s Holt, and all the amazing quotes are staples in my home. Every time we give my dog a bone we have to yell BOOONE like Holt when he gets embarrassed at the prospect of boning. 💀 Long live Captain Holt.

Though I kinda wish one of the theme clues ended with “soft”, a pretzel themed puzzle fills my Philly heart. 🥨
