Masterful work on this crossword. I enjoyed it a lot. Confused at first but figuring out what's going on is always part of the joy of the crossword. Well done!

I refuse to do this one. Makes a farce of the principle that flirting with illogicality should be avoided whenever possible. Just simply not good. And the NYT crossword moderators know I love my puzzles, so it takes a lot of nonsense for me to be this critical.
