@George most of the time I think critiques on puzzles are pretty valid, but also most regular puzzle takers know that "Var." means a variant spelling. It's one of the types of clues.

My first Saturday puzzle that I managed to solve without autocheck or having to look up half the answers. I only had to look up 2 of them. (PECOS/EPODE and the -ious of CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM), so I think this means I'm officially leveling up in the crossword game

@Beth I also work in data and have been to grad school and we use "outlier" not "edge cases" Got it with the crosses and I'm not surprised it's a word, but still have never used it before.

@Andrzej totally agree on the lawn thing. Lawns are a waste of water and resources and bad for the environment. Outdated thinking to act like it's an eyesore to mow them
