For once, my lack of knowledge of Greek letters worked in my favour. I took the revealer literally and used I/O in the rebus squares without knowing what the name of the letter or what its shape was. From the clue I had pictured a lollipop ('sucker', I think, to you folks?). I/O, of course, works beautifully for the crosses.
