@Lynn Something I like to do to check spellings is to use a dictionary app on my phone. It generally feels less likely to just feed me the answer but keeps me from going too far astray when I want to mix up the middle “ai” in VINAIGRETTE or when I can’t remember if SCYLLA has an “i” or a “y”. (And sometimes when I go “is that actually a word I’ve dredged up from somewhere deep in my brain or am I just making one up?”) The one I use also covers a lot of classical proper nouns too, though it wouldn’t have helped me with MBAPPÉ or ORAgEL (today I learned…). There are many tools in the toolbox, depending on how you choose to play your game. Good luck!
