Number 1 is a bit misleading. Amiga is indeed the word for a friend who is a girl. A girlfriend, as in the one I'm dating would be "novia".

Actors, towns, brands, tv channels, politicians. This already makes it hard for foreigners to solve but add to that not only a rebus but one that doesn't work across and down and it becomes a pain. Hated it

As a foreigner, crosswords with SO MANY names, brands, and local pop culture references get incredibly annoying. At least I wasn't asked again about some nail polish brand I couldn't care less about.

The translation for feline is felino, gato would be cat. All gatos are felinos but not all felinos are gatos.
