Hit the wall hard at about 60% completion. This felt utterly impossible without starred clues indicating which words were affected by the theme. "a hint to four sides of the puzzle"? Okay, so which of the literally 50 words that touch the sides is it a hint to? Felt frustrating and completely unrewarding.

Disappointed how many clues I had no hope of ever completing. Do I have to be old? RONALDINHO who? TESS who? HAROLDRAMIS who? Kim Catralls who? Doctor Faustus what? OLDSAW what? BRER huh???

@David Ramos I was also very confused by that clue. A helpful commenter made me realize it means a TOAST like you give at a wedding, after calling people's attention by 'ding-ding'ing your glass
