While I found the theme enjoyable, the rest of the puzzle was very obscure in its language. Overall, too difficult for a Wednesday. This seems more suited to a Thursday at the earliest. Having to break out the thesaurus for multiple clues just isn’t how I want to spend my Wednesday mornings.

Found this one to be very enjoyable! The only problem I ran into was DOH rather than DUH. a bit of a hard cross if you aren’t familiar with TYCO. Who knows, maybe saying doh/duh is regional when facepalming.

Found this one a bit more difficult than a usual. I had never heard of Meccano or an ERECTORSET. No small plane I’ve ever taken has been a TURBOPROP nor had I even heard of one. Maybe this puzzle was just meant for someone a little older! Still finished it without having to use the checker but this struck me more as a Tuesday.
