It’s amazing to see all the different experiences we have with puzzles. For me, this one was super easy and I completed it 16 minutes faster than normal with no lookups! Probably a first for a Friday puzzle. But yesterday’s puzzle killed me while many of you loved it. Just goes to show that each puzzle is aimed at a particular set of knowledge and language. That’s why I love it!
@John Whitelock the answer is MORAL not MORAY.
Easy solve, but I’ve never heard of the word “lollop”
@Steven M. Here is a link to a photo of a shoe with block heel <a href="https://www.aerosoles.com/cdn/shop/products/Camera_445_AV2_616be9e6-15bc-4559-b5c3-6418e2692d7f_1800x1800.jpg?v=1762441939" target="_blank">https://www.aerosoles.com/cdn/shop/products/Camera_445_AV2_616be9e6-15bc-4559-b5c3-6418e2692d7f_1800x1800.jpg?v=1762441939</a>
I completed the puzzle successfully, but I don’t understand how “sops” is the answer to “concessions”. Can anyone help me understand this?
Enjoyed this puzzle a lot! Had troubles with STASES as states, stairs, and static all fit. Took until I got I DIE to finish!
@Will L yes, and it wouldn’t accept my W for Weisz! I was congratulated for an incorrect answer. A first!
@Chris it’s a rebus with a d and an n giving you metronome and metrodome
