Yay!!! My first ever correct crossword with no checks or reveals required !! Took six months but finally got there. Thanks for a great puzzle - now to work on getting a Tuesday one š
Lovely puzzle - thank you!!! As a kiwi I must get a wee mention in that the longest place in the world is actually right here in Aotearoa: The world-record holder officially recognized by Guinness World Records is Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu (85 letters). Located on the North Island of New Zealand near PÅrangahau, it translates to English as "the place where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, who slid, climbed and swallowed mountains, played his flute to his loved one"
If it makes you feel better Iām still yet to ever complete a NYT puzzle after about six months! Every Monday I think itās the day and then I get down to one square. Today was the intersection of Coda / Asada - not a clue what either of them are. I live in hope for next week!
I immediately entered John smith as the Pocahontas answer (thanks Disney version) and was shocked to realise that wasnāt his real name!! (From NZ where we arenāt taught Native American history in school)
South West corner was my downfall today, as it seems was the case for many others. I donāt suppose I can come here and complain to a bunch of Americans about Epilogue having American spelling on an American puzzle now can I š ā¦ā¦ā¦but STILL!!!!!
Gahhh thought I had my first Tuesday until the cross of Utah ski resort and took a side. Still not quite sure on the answer for that as ate
@RozzieGrandma I believe it is because they were strong from a lifetime of climbing over and sliding down mountains
