Solved the entire puzzle without figuring out what today's theme was. Would absolutely never have guessed the nut thing...

Took me about 15 minutes to realise there were rebuses in this one. "Wait, if this one is sub-zero, and this one is turkey sub, then... wait, that's two subs? That's... oh, duh. Sub sub sub. It's a dang sub stack." Great gimmick, but oh, so frustrating.

Spent 80% of my time doing the crossword, and the other 20% not realising that it was supposed to be SNARF instead of scarf. Snarf? Is that even a word?
