On all other crosswords, we don't even dip once. Why on this crossword do we dip twice? Seriously, terrific theme and wonderful execution. It would have been fantastic to save this one for Passover, but... dayenu!
@Roberto Folks in the Buckeye state are rather insistent about calling it "_THE_ Ohio State University". As if you could have just "AN Ohio State University" ? Do they come in six-packs now?
So many erasures. OXFORDCOMMA (close), enemy of the Avengers must be THANOS (nope), Kabbalah is MYSTICAL (nope). Got it eventually, but it was a ride.
For those who do not remember monochrome AMBER monitors, you can spot them in the commercial for Zoom with the workers standing on desks to revolt against their leader. I doubt if they could even use Zoom with those monitors.
While it is usually called a PITCHCLOCK by fans, MLB officially calls that countdown device a PITCHTIMER. I expect to see the latter in future puzzles.
