Puzzle was challenging and fun but I really don’t like when numbers are used.
Really? Some of these were too much of a stretch. I guess many folks enjoy these cryptics- maybe after a few more , I will as well.
Many sources now cite the Amazon as the world’s longest river.
Someone explain 8 down “snees”?
Medical plural of the eye part, iris, is “irides”
As an ophthalmologist, I must say I never have heard of the “optic lobe”..,
Can someone explain “ noshade” to me?
So silly. Crossword puzzles are composed of words. Full words. Words that appear in the dictionary. Not words with letters that are mystically and magically deleted. Not a fan.
@Captain Quahog Not yet. Does anyone?
@Captain Quahog Rather harsh! I absolutely understand that a great deal of knowledge is obtained from the study of other species. That being said, I wonder if the author of this puzzle is as enlightened as you are with respect to arthropods. With respect to my understanding of the biology of vision, I am quite satisfied that it has been sufficient to meet the needs of my human patients. Should I ever decide to include insects, spiders ( and any others with hard exoskeletons)in my practice, I shall certainly heed your advice.
