Not a fan, some clues were really a stretch. But it looks like I'm in the minority!

URIE? EMEKA? ESAI? ROEG? Far too many obscure proper nouns for my taste. The top section was impossible for me without knowing those. And can someone please explain "CALL ON THE CARPET"?

SOJU crossed with JETE got me in the end... but other than that a really fun and enjoyable puzzle!

I actually loved it! Very clever, and an "Aha!" moment when I figured out the LOOPDELOOPS. I had "Settle" instead of "METTLE" for 25A, but eventually figured out my mistake with the down cross.

Well after reading the comments I don't feel so bad for thinking it was hard and having to look up for the NW corner, but I got everything else on my own!... after some struggle. Can someone please explain "GODOT" to me?

This one was really fun and clever! My only gripe is that I don't think "spill" is a very good clue for SLOP @ 69A.

SUCH a fun (and achievable) Saturday! Agree that it felt daunting at first but after a few passes everything came together nicely. Very satisfying, thank you!
