I refuse to believe that broey is a real adjective and I refuse to ever use it in a sentence.
I really miss good puns and puzzles that actually test my knowledge rather than mechanics and trickery. I wish Merl Reagle was still around.
Try this sentence "I'll have the crabs" now again "I'll have the crab". See where I'm going with this.
26 minutes longer than my Saturday avg. (admittedly not great) Of 55 min. I almost always have to solve on the crosses on Saturday.
Are the puzzles getting easier or am I getting faster? Enjoyed it.
Crunchy but too cutsey. I felt too old (64) for some of these. I prefer straight forward hard knowledge to baby talk.
It is fair to say that not all Saturday puzzles are created equal . At 1:49 it put me 63 minutes over my average. Reminds me of the NYT "tough" crossword omnibus I have be chipping away at. Humbling is the word that comes to mind.
It was hard but somehow I was 17:43 faster than avg. I too struggle on the proper nouns but understand how difficult constructing would be without a few of them. No shame in looking up a few or verifying.
@Max Actually I would go there to eat crab.
@Susan E. That must be real satisfying. I always blow it when away on a trip. Way to go!
@Loopy Notice that it isn't Art's Crabs Shak.
