A clever and very enjoyable puzzle. But the sloppy phrase "center around" (35 Down) annoys me wherever it appears. And I'm not alone. " 'Do not write center around,' The New York Times Manual of Style and Usage says, 'because the verb means gather at a point. Logic calls for center on, center in or revolve around.'
