Solid puzzle. Could do without entries like HGT and IRR as clued (or at all).

I sometimes find Saturdays more doable than Wednesdays. Not that Saturdays don’t take me forever, they do, but with persistence you can find the answer somewhere in your brain. That’s usually not possible with trivia - this was the case in the bottom left for me today.

Loved it, though that is typically what I think when an end of week puzzle is this easy.

“train trip” and “do not want” were stretches to me, people don’t talk like that.

Good puzzle, one nit: absent the dunk/lay-in, there is no alley-oop.

Really liked this. My one nit is the redundancy of US States

I liked the theme, and nice to see the unbraided entries actually spelled words (this puzzle wouldn't have been possible if the constructor attempted to tie them to the theme). Only nit was abuela crossing biota & Dora - had to guess on that.

Not sure how modern GPS is as it was introduced in cars over 30 years ago. It is still used modern times but so is toilet paper.

@SP yes correct, and Kurt didn’t like it. Relative to other Sundays I’d say witty is a stretch.

@Barry Ancona, Adding "states" to the end of an acronym that stands for "United States" does not help clarify that we're not talking about Mexico. I recognize some people say "US States" ... I just didn't think it was a perfect entry and probably would've tried to think of another one.
