@Francis it's this particular crossword that I am unable to appreciate as don't have an understanding of US swing states. Otherwise, am an avid NYT crossword enthusiast having completed all crosswords since 6 January 2020 (and now working my way back through the archives). I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'a deep history growing here' but thanks for the suggestion.

@Andrew I loved it too but would have loved to be able to appreciate it however, the lack of understanding of swing states in the US makes that difficult.

@Steve L - thanks for the explanation. So that is what the fuss is about electoral college. Must make following a presidential election that much more interesting…
