Why wasn’t there a hint that these “holes” existed either in a clue or the puzzle’s title? It’s always nice to know when there’s a little clever trickery with the answers coming my way. It makes for a little added adventure in the anticipation of the discovery. I play in the iOS app. Am I missing something or did the constructor and editor just decide against such a disclosure?

I (fifty)-second the sentiment that this was way too difficult for a Tuesday puzzle. Took me an hour longer than my average solve time for this day. If this was a Friday or Saturday puzzle, I would have felt triumphant. Today, I just felt defeated.

Clever puzzle but I was a bit dissatisfied with the fact that the 4 theme words resulted in nonsense when read straight across. Had they done that, I would have been truly impressed. Otherwise, quite a fun solve.
