I usually do the puzzle in the evening, but I was so intrigued by the lovely green graphic that I did it right away this morning. Also because I’ve greatly enjoyed Mr. Sivakumar‘s previous puzzles, and correctly guessed that I would really enjoy this puzzle as well. I’m pleased that I figured out the intended theme word in JUDICIOUS, but I did miss one square - the Y crossing ALY and YOINK. I thought the word was BOINK and I wasn’t familiar with the gymnast. I don’t worry about streaks, though, so I wasn’t at all upset about missing the one square, and now I’ve learned a new name and a new sound for future puzzles. I had a lot of fun doing this puzzle although now I have a certain song stuck in my head as an earworm!

@Francis I am admittedly from and still living in the Northeast, but I knew LENAPE from watching the recent television series Ghosts. As a long term fan of roots music, including bluegrass, BELA was a gimme for me. But this crossing was just a lucky case of “in my wheelhouse”, and I can see where it might have frustrated people in a Tuesday puzzle.

Another great Thursday puzzle! I’ve always enjoyed studying languages, so I was intrigued on that level, and once I realized that RAINCOAT was an anagram of CROATIAN, it helped me to fill out the other theme entries. And it was such a great AHA moment!

@Bill I thought the same at first, but then I thought of it in the sense of a raging storm, such as a hurricane that lasts for several hours. Then it made more sense to me.
