I am of the apparently controversial opinion that the revealer should make the theme more clear, and not less clear. This one was a stretch on top of a stretch that also only works for some accents.

Both too easy for a Thursday, and kind of obtuse. Still very much annoyed that EMEND would be used in a place where AMEND would both also work with the crosses, and feel more logical.

@Ashley 'that is off only when both inputs are on’. That would be a NAND gate. Your husband was probably mixing it up with XOR (eXclusive OR), which means exactly one has to be on.
