If you want to trigger a farmer, call them “OREO cows” They’re belted galloways! - Signed, an American who has on numerous occasions annoyed her farmer Kiwi husband with calling them OREO cows
Long time player, first time commenter. After several years of regular NYT cross wording I finally stumbled onto this blog a couple weeks ago. What a joy I was missing! Love the little hints and also background on the theme and note from the constructor. A great debut for the constructor, really enjoyed this puzzle!
I got an absolutely kick out of the “Call after last Call?” clue, a very fun Tuesday puzzle
A really fun puzzle! Also as a geriatric millennial I’m proud for knowing both the Beatles song (I walked down the aisle to this classic) and the modern lingo for shady.
Such a fun Monday puzzle and theme - I had to work to get those crosses because I definitely don’t know how to spell the revealer!
@Justin I can confirm it’s been a nice little Tuesday (although it helps we’re coming into summer!) Happy Thanksgiving week
I absolutely loved 23A and thought it was very clever! I’m still a novice puzzler that has only recently tried my hand at Friday puzzles, but I loved this one and the not-so-obvious answers to many clues
@Taylor Paul In Physics, a Rate is the ratio of two different units, commonly “something” over time - like distance over time is Speed. Power is Amt of Energy / Time Frequency is Counts / Time
I thoroughly enjoyed today’s puzzle, especially after living through the actual experience of picking up a partially and incorrectly filled on a flight back in the before smart phone Stone Ages. It’s so much easier to correct the wrong responses on the app!
I really enjoyed this one and was very happy to get GALENTINESDAY and GREENANACONDA without too much help from the crosses. Although I had TOGS* for a while for “Down Under wear” and was wondering if the (incorrect) start of “Apple Corps?” was something slightly inappropriate with GENI(T)… *Togs = bathing suit (also know as “bathers” down here)
@Rachel thank you! I have really loved stumbling onto this community and the daily blog/notes from the constructor, it has really helped my solving
@Pho Liz Have some malt liqueur, if not for yourself then for the people that love you! 🤖
