So i only got STICKUM through an extremely random memory of the classic movie Caddyshack where Judge Smails angrily throws his club and his well meaning caddy Danny apologizes for not putting Stickum on the grip. I can now retire this memory, it has served its purpose!!

@Marty when an answer is an abbreviation, look for an abbreviated word in the clue. This is the constructor's hint to you that the answer is abbreviated. In tougher Friday and Saturday puzzles this is seen more than the easier "abbr". Hope this helps, happy solving!
