@Michelle, One of the frequent posters here (I don’t remember who) explained that when stuck like that, using the phone app to change the view from grid to list will allow you to go through each individual word one at a time. Since I tried that, I have found it helpful more times than I can count.

I thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle. And, Sam, I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate your columns and commentary! Happy Anniversary to you and imho it’s a happy anniversary for all of us! (I’ll confess that I don’t always figure out the connections between the puzzle and the photo selection, but the photos are always interesting in their own right.)

@Al in Pittsburgh Thank you for pointing that out - I have been baffled by the inability to fix typos in comment posts because it seems like a very simple feature to add (though it’d be beyond me to write the code!). The explanation you’ve given makes the “flaw” seem quite sensible and logical.

@Kenneth You’re correct that it’s not a limit. But it is an allowance. When the weight of a container - the tare - is (hopefully) subtracted from the combined weight of container and contents, you are allowing for - or making an allowance for - that container’s weight.
