Reminder to all Wisconsinites to do your civic duty tomorrow. If you know anyone in Wisconsin, remind them it is vitally important.
Can fruits and vegetables in the olden days were in mason or ball glass jars in clear or blue color. Thus canned pickles is correct. They are canned. Not literally in a can. A group of us, one time canned over 200 quart jars of green beans in 2 days. A produce truck heading yo the factory overturned. My dad happened to go by and the driver told anyone who stopped yo take all they wanted. So my dad and uncle shoveled 2 trunk full of green beans. We had an assembly line going with washing, cutting, and canning green beans. Every restaurant you went to had green beans for a week. All the stores were oit of canning goods.
10D and 22A was a stretch for a Monday to cross two proper names. I did not know either of these people.

Swiss roll without cracking: 1. Use parchment paper in pan for easy removal from pan. 2. Make sure you cake is even before putting in oven. 3. Do not overcook. I slightly undercook. When inserting toothpick make sure that not completely clean. 4. Cover with slightly moist towel while cooling. Which prevents it from drying out and adds a slight bit of moisture. 5. Roll before becomes completely cool. Make sure filling is also at room temperature. Pipe on vs. Spreading so don't press into cake. 6. Use towel in step 4 to help roll.

@Bob I had to read several times. I finally decided that a dramatic pause is needed between Rest pause for punch line is NOT working. I once had a plaque up at work that stated: Sleep 8 hours Work 8 hours But not same 8 hours The head of the division came to my office and looked around briefly and told me to remove that. I assume my militarized boss requested he visit my office and have me remove it.

@Intermediate level I agree completely. I only do Monday and Tuesday puzzles as I am elderly and never did crosswords until 3 years ago. I started with the mini. It took me a year to work up to the Monday crosswords. I started Tuesdays about a year ago and could get about 75% done. But this last month, I started having difficulty with whole sections.

As I read this and finished the puzzle, the LPGA is in the first ever 5 way sudden death. I thought it was funny, as the constructor of the puzzle, works with Professional Golfers and is probably at the tournament.
Not a fan of both the mini and regular crossword on the same day having the same clue with same answer. Walgreens competitor... CVS
Btw... EKG is German elektrokardiogramm ECG is American electrocardiograph It is just one of my pet peeves. The clue should reference (German).
@Tara Cake room temperature I find is the best. Frosting can be cool but i find room temperature is best and stay away from edge about 1/2 to 1 inch. And work quickly so cake does not dry out. Then chill. Do not pre-roll.... too much handling.

@CaptainQuahog The no purchase was not really accurate. You got $25 off, but had to pay for shipping. I has one of the coveted first 100 people, but it only took off the price if the item. In my case $20. It then charged $9 for shipping. So then I changed the item to a $12 item and it took only the $12 off. But wanted to charge me for shipping. So I cancelled This was at midnight. I double checked early this morning there was still spots opened. But then by 6 am all 100 slots gone. I was not going to pay $9 for shipping a "prize" that said no purchase necessary for first 100. I stayed up and was a first 100 and could get my item free, just not the shipping.

I ended up not selecting anything because the shipping charge was $9 on just about everything. Even for a key chain. I was a bit disappointed, because usually if you win something you don't pay for shipping.
