Printing and framing this! Fantastic!!!
If you're so sure flying saucers are full of ETs why aren't there more ET hotels? This planet is SO inhospitable.
@Jason finite language spaces converge towards uncanny coincidences; just like that word you can't believe you encountered twice in the same day/week/month. That and we're wired to notice coincidences and give them false/exaggerated meanings. aka Jungian synchronicity... triggering people in comment sections since 1995.
When did ETs spaceship become unidentified? When will this ridiculous misnomer cease?
Finally a clue for UFOs I can completely get behind. Not only does it acknowledge those that think it's ETs, it also includes the possibility of a completely terrestrial explanation. Thanks!
For the 100th time, the ET hypothesis is the least plausible explanation for UFOs. Stop promulgating this tripe idea.
No. Wrong. UFOs are seen here on earth. Exclusively! Nobody has been anywhere else! (Except the moon, and in orbit. And the apocryphal stories of astronauts seeing "them" are simply misquoted wishful thinking.)
Nice theme, but the fun ruined once again by the errors. Topmost among them: HYPOTHETICAL occupants of 53 across.
@Mean Old insert pun here... ok I'll Qi myself out now
Not Entirely shouldn't be in quotes. Nobody ever says "ish" alone.
@Janine Found the alien! So much popular misinformation on a real, terrestrial phenomenon that SHOULD be an interesting - but is instead an infuriatingly taboo and glossed over - topic. To the point that UFOs are attributed to aliens in EVERY crossword puzzle. And most people, when presented with rational, academic evidence, defend their belief in ET with an almost religious fervor! To whit, your reply. Which just compounds my interest. The greatest disinfo campaign of all time, perhaps!
A "sci-fi ship" sounds pretty much identified to me. REMINDER: nobody knows what UFOs actually are.
@SD huh? The candles are added from right to left, the same direction as Semitic languages are written. From one's OWN perspective. My first (mis)read of the clue had me thinking it meant one candle was ALWAYS left unlit. Like leaving an empty seat for Elijah at a seder.
@Charles Nelson Reilly "it can only be attributed to human error."
@Lewis loved the symmetry, plus they were all vertical like needles in the skin!
