I must've gotten a single letter wrong... now I have to retrace my steps. But I wanted to drop in and say that XIJINPING joke in the constructor notes made me LOL.

I was just doing some of the Saturdays in the archive that I hadn't done yet, and was excited to go back to an easier Wednesday once it came out. Didn't happen lol, this almost feels like another Saturday!

This was the easiest Friday for me so far. I'm not complaining, I usually struggle through a Thursday and find Sundays harder than Saturdays. I had fun with this one.

Comment sections like these are a good reminder that most solvers are old timers! Not sure how you can be offended by this.

NE corner had me stumped. I woulda enjoyed the puzzle if it weren't for those clues.
