We all have our proper nouns that are gimmes and those that aren’t. I am never a fan when a puzzle feels laden with proper nouns: UNO, WEST ELM, KENMORE, PHIL, LUANN, WII, MTN DEW, CARTA, MSG, NRC, ASWAN, ARES, LES MIZ, BRANAGH, TINA, SWIT, EDGAR LEE, VESPA, WAWA, EL GRECO, ESPN, SIMU, COLMAN, MARC, CHIRAC, KOWALSKI, BOHRS, and PACO if I noted them all. Some were gimmes for me, but it’s my least favorite kind of clue. It tends to feel like trivia you either will know or won’t and can be hard to fill without looking up (in my experience, anyway). I did enjoy the clever theme when I caught on though!

Part of what took me so long for 79D and cracking that area is the usage of “info” instead of information. I took that to mean shortened in some way. In my opinion, WHEN is not shortened. Maybe I’m not understanding clueing rules? Or invites because I’m a homebody? Help please!
