@Sam Lyons Cynthia Erivo is probably a name that will show up again. She is definitely more than “from a TV show.” (She has EGT of an EGOT already.) Additionally, Wicked is a movie, not a TV show.

Came to say how I appreciated today after struggling mightily yesterday but I see that’s not the vibe so I’ll see my way out.

I had coP for “it can keep the beat” and I thought that was clever but I was cleverly wrong.

This was fun! I liked using my long dormant minesweeper skills to figure out where the rebuses would have to go.

I didn’t know this would be called a rebus until I saw the caption on the column. I thought a rebus was one where you put extra letters in a box. I thought of this as … wordplay. (Sorry.)

Enjoyed this. How were we to know - based on the clue formatting - that XRAYLAB wasn’t part of the themed clues? Took me forever bc I was searching for something wedding-y.

@Mr Dave I knew it! I used to work as a school librarian and there is a fun picture book about him I liked to read to the kids. It’s a great story about perseverance!

I got the two Ys but I did not understand the rest of the theme (CLASSMATE, FORT WORTH) until I read the column.

I didn’t know the letters flew until I came here. I updated the app and now they are flying. Mentioning it in case it helps someone else. I enjoyed the theme!

@Hannah I am so confused. I really appreciate you trying to help. Here's what I don't get. For "extra old bay," "extra bold" is also an answer that works for the clue. And for "not your average OJ" "not your average Joe" also works as an answer. I guess that isn't true for trash/ashtray (trash not being a perk) or be/ebay though. Are you saying I'm not missing something obvious and that "all time low" isn't also meant to be an answer to the clue?

When you play a game in the archives, why are they sometimes blue and sometimes gold when you complete them? I know blue is if you get help. I just finished an old Tuesday puzzle and did not get hints but it appeared blue - is it because I started it one day and finished it another day? (This is not a big problem! I am just curious what the rules are.)

I can understand most of them but ALL TIME AU LAIT still doesn’t click for me. What is the non “pig latin” answer? All time low? I’m stumped.
