@Laura nope, could be a generational thing but “left on read” is a very common phrase (referring to when you can see a text has been read and not responded to)

Fun puzzle! But whoever made the connections today should be launched into space. There is no comment section for that puzzle, so putting it here. You CANNOT have an obvious connection that isn’t an answer, or it entirely ruins the fun and trust of the player. Today there were four of the words that fit well know movies if you add “American before it”. (American psycho, American Graffiti, American beauty, American hustle) Do better NYT.
