I solved almost everything but did not understand the theme until I read the article. Apia Samoa crossed with Sapor is ridiculous. I had Savor at 52 down and spent a long time trying every letter in the alphabet to replace the v. Clever idea but not fun at all to solve.

I'm 62 so I LOVED the HR Pufnstuf and JR Ewing answers. I also own a VR headset so that gave me a kick too. This was a personal best for me for a Tuesday, after getting a personal best for a Monday yesterday. I'm on a roll this week! Fun puzzle, but I never realized there was a theme until after it was done.
