I always print the puzzle, using the regular PDF version. It does *not* show the bold letters. [Windows11, Firefox browser] It was fun trying to guess which letters were *supposed* to have been bold but... Finally, I looked at the Newspsper version and they were there.
Dave Brubeck was on the cover of Time 08 November 1954 so Taylor Swift was not the first artist to appear.
@Steve L What I enjoy about any puzzle is trying to figure out things I don't know. Puzzles that make one think out of the box are fun. Pop culture is my Achilles heel so if I have crossing pop culture clues the best I can do is make a semi-educated guess, then, after completing the puzzle, I look up what I didn't know. Everything I know about pop culture, I learned doing crossword puzzles!
