I have to echo the sentiments of a lot of other commenters, not a good puzzle for a Tuesday. A weak theme and way too many clues asking for names. I’m especially irked by puzzles that have crossing clues that are both asking for names. Don’t know any banjoists or indigenous tribes? Whelp then you are SOL on this one.

Overall I enjoyed this puzzle. My only complaint, and I’m guessing many others had the same, was the zee/zed clue. I actually think this is a clever dual clue but “across the Atlantic” is nonsensical. How are you supposed to get Zee/Zed from that? There has got to be better wording than that

This felt more like a Wednesday puzzle to me. Too many obscure clues and while I did appreciate the theme is was just way too niche, unless you’re into rye bread… I’ve been disappointed with the quality of puzzles lately. Hopefully things pick up again soon

I enjoyed this puzzle much more than yesterday’s. My only complaint is kenken??? A logic puzzle so popular I’ve never heard of it.

Am I missing something with the clue “Wind up alone” being FLUTE SOLO? I don’t think it’s a very good clue…

@Steven M. That’s where I and most others seemed to get stuck. Really poor clueing for a Tuesday
