I certainly enjoyed the puzzle but I have some quibbles as a Scot! 21A the name for the creature is a selkie, and 55A the Scottish spelling is Iain!
@Cole I'm not too familiar with Star Trek, but the clue is referring to the Klingon language (Star Tre k lingo n ot heard), so I assume that while Klingons are in the original series, the language isn't heard
@Laura Actually, left "on read" means that the message has been opened but not responded to. It's more of a recent thing related to read receipts on text messages, but it's almost the opposite of "left unread".
@Rachel I think 42A is referring to the "you" in the clue rather than "clue" for the part that's supposed to sound like "ewe"
I liked this and found it challenging but mostly rewarding, but is anyone else bothered by 15D? The Jan 20 crossword clue "Novices, informally" spelled the word as NewBS, which threw me off because i'd spell it NOOBS. For this one I put in NewBS because I remembered the other clue! I guess maybe today's spelling is more specific to video game lingo but it def threw me off with the crosses for a while
@Andy i thought that at first too, but then i realised the theme genres are literally bent so they don't need to be figuratively "bent" like in the revealer.
@Dougie I think this every single time. it's the same as people saying "Glasgae". We don't say that!
@Krad Yeah, it blinks every Sunday so you're prompted to look at the title of the puzzle. The other days aren't titled.
