For a month, I watched over a 9-year-old boy, who played Super Mario all evening. I had to play with him; I am 61 years old. He was autistic and had no other interests. This evening is my moment of recompense. Justice has been served. It's a so nice, yes? Grazie, Kim.
@Sylvie It is a puzzle with puns. Cultures and religions that can't take a joke are sorta la-di-da.
The flashback quiz in the NYT had an entry: the first printed crossword in 1924. "Detractors deemed the crossword addictive and a menace to society."
@Ken Burk I loved his word play. I learn so much and smiled with many answers.
@Andrzej because it was fun
I don't mind bragging rights, but maybe people could add something they like about the crossword to make their post worth reading.
Wade you made my Tuesday evening a blast! You have quite an eclectic taste in music. I hope to see more of your puzzles. I was sure 56A was doi as in duh, of course. Do I makes more sense, but I would be more inclined to answer doi.
OMG, I am like so sure! Me class of 1982, Southern California, Frank Zappa,..We were vacuous airheads, and we liked it! Thank you, Rebecca and Christina!
@JohnWM No, after a few years the clues are easier to recognize. I believe this.
@Music prof same difference
@acjones Techies would disagree. It was a nice change for me.
@Jeff I agree! Buzzkills
@Matt Seriously?! 😕
@Mike yesterday's crossword: Dad joke?...puns
@Chris 1776 Boston Rebels! That's why you Bostonians can say I'm going to the bah instead of I'm going to the pub.
@Vaer oh, that was a great performance!
@Captain Quahog🙄please
@deborah Too funny, me too. I would have done the puzzle in 15 min flat had I not needed to know it was gold and silver!
@Michael they are dolphins; that tripped me up.
@John like what clues did you like?
OMG! 40A I kept thinking Leslie Nielsen and wrote naked for the Naked Gun Franchise! I couldn't let it go and finally went to auto check. Anyway, both were great trilogies.
@jes you finished Sunday in 15 minutes? I have to ask.
@Steve L oh boy, you're right.
@Barry Ancona yes, but it is also about having fun with the clues
@Weak Me too. It was a fun challenge! I don't pay attention to the 46Ds posts with the rare occasion that they have something to add that they liked about the puzzle, and I am grateful to now know to pass on the yum khai mod daeng.
@SPYes, that was so cute!!
@Steve I could even either. I really wanted to.
@Ms. Billie M. Spaight That's sportsmanship-no laundry list of complaints! I enjoyed it also.
@Richard nothing interesting to say about the clever puzzle?
@Petrol They wheeled him out hidden in a food cart due to fear of an assassination by Iran.
