LOVED this puzzle. Great fun with circled letter play. Was very happy that letter play only included actual words. Everything made sense. Well done on this construction!

Loved this one! I generally don't enjoy all the overly clever tricks of the usual Thursdays & usually skip them. I wish NYT would create a separate puzzle for the rebuses and other complicated tricks and keep the crossword as a crossword. I liked the uses of the blanks in this one though. That made sense.

Please just give us crosswords. This kind of thing is awful, no fun at all, and trying too hard to be clever. I want to do a crossword puzzle. That's why I'm here.

As the editor says, "That’s just illegible." Why strive for illegible in crosswords? Terrible.
