This was a fun one! It made more sense once I realized 7D was not "Frankenfurter's cry" Rocky Horror anyone?
The theme was ingenious. That being said, I didn't enjoy the puzzle. Like a lot of art, I can appreciate it but it may not resonate with me. I find myself enjoying the NYT crosswords less and less these days, I think it's just a style difference with a new editor. I realize many people are really liking the more obscure, "tougher" puzzles. Me, not so much. I enjoy a challenge, but the puzzles are much less fun (for me) than they have been. Feeling kind of sad to have apparently lost something I have really enjoyed for years, but such is life. I know other people are relishing the "challenge". More power to you!
I don't think I've ever watched Lassie, but I always ask my dog if TIMMYs in the well when she barks for apparently no reason. Fun solve!
@Beth You took the words right out of my brain! Fun, relaxing solve
Fun puzzle except that the wavy/tilted/lines were virtually invisible/unrecognizable in dark mode on my ipad. Technology... Otherwise an enjoyable solve
@Rich in Atlanta I really enjoyed today, tough but fun. But woof, that Frank Longo puzzle. I have no idea what the clues and answers have to domwith one another!
What a great way to end/start the week! Thanks, Sam, for the giggles and Aghs, and welcome back Will!
