It’s a game! Why people get so upset and feel like The Crossword needs to be custom-built according to their own ways of thinking and personal preferences is truly beyond me. Have some fun, will ya?

Fun Monday! Congratulations on your debut, Jack. Quite an accomplishment. I hope there are many more from you to come. So nice to know that’s it’s not just us “older folk” interested in crosswords. I will forever remember how to spell “ sergeant”.

Normally, I don’t do rebus puzzles (Sorry Thursday.), but this one was so fun I couldn’t stop! Thank you.

@Mike I saw it as a adjective rather than a noun. Either way, you have to love the cross with dog sitter 😁

@Long walks n sunsets you can sorta do that if you have both the NYTIMES app and the Games app open. Not perfect, but fewer steps.

For a while I thought the anagram was also a rebus because of the letter numbers. Might have been fun, but glad it wasn’t.

Was thinking I would see Mini Mouse or Madonna emerge as a theme until I solved for BACKWARDSCAP.
