I did not enjoy this puzzle at all. A few of the clues are so obscure that they require a web search, which is always irritating. The fact that the rebuses(?) had absolutely no pattern make me wonder why this puzzle was published in the first place. I grade this puzzle as an F- (failed spectacularly).

@Caz I agree with you. Absolutely everyone I know uses “big hand” for hour. Now I’m wondering where this isn’t the norm.

The theme was a swing and a miss - like the catcher had the ball in their glove before the batter swung size miss.
