I’m not a Star Wars fan (despite being prime Gen X), but because today is my birthday I immediately knew the revealer. I’ll consider it my first gift of the day :)
@Eve that clue made me so happy! I looked them up online recently and was very pleased to see they’re still in business.
@Jane Wheelaghan this is a difficult puzzle for those not familiar with American culture.
@Andrzej Commit to memory the actor name Stephen Rea because I have seen it multiple times in puzzles (at least in the archives).
@CCNY I often find doing crosswords in the archive from many years ago to be more challenging. Not so much Mondays and Tuesdays, those seem to still be on the easier side.
I did not know the story behind LET’S ROLL. Thanks for posting the link to the History Channel video clip. I remember 9/11 vividly and that piece brought chills and tears to my eyes. Definitely a challenging puzzle for me, needed help to finish.
@Herstorygirl I feel you!! I’ve been doing Tuesdays for 3-4 years now and I’ve NEVER been stumped like this! Even reading the tricky clues in Word Play didn’t help me. Hang in there, you’ll be doing great in no time.
@heironymous yep, I’m officially old too. No cap? No idea. Of course even when I was young I wasn’t up on the hip lingo.
@Cam that’s what I thought. My dad was a CPA and definitely did not do bookkeeping (which is a fine job).
@MB thanks for the explanation :)
@Sarah former Cincinnatian and that’s always what I think of :)
@retired, with cat Me too! (Also Michiana!)
@David I vividly remember learning this in my college art classes, almost 30 years ago. Definitely caused a raised eyebrow for me.
@retired, with cat WEST SIDE! Western Hills to be exact.
