i could barely get started on this one
often i struggle with Saturdays and sometimes cannot finish them without a clue but for me this was the easiest Saturday in a long time. the upper left quadrant came in just a few minutes. then getting 48 down and zeitgeist quickly helped with the rest. i loved some of the long answers like dungbeetle zeitgeist and turing test.
far and away my fastest Friday ever. liked some of the spanners
@Tex made up nonsense. never seen that before in the Crossword. but since it's allowed i'll just create answers like lalalaladididididadadada and clue it "so what, he stuttered?"
@Patrick we use the term in soccer (football) all the time as well, when a ball is struck far over the goal's crossbar
@Sam wages are now required in the ads in many jurisdictions
@mistermiranda Agree, this is a Hawaiian word and calling it a Chinese appetizer is incorrect. Would be like calling spaghetti an American pasta.
Still Dre dropped in 2012 not 2022 was confused for a long time in NE corner
