Have never seen the word limn before, so I assumed I had something wrong... nope. Was also very confused about abysm, since I had immediately filled in the word "abyss." Weird puzzle. I feel like the theme didn't add anything at all.
This didn't fully work for me. I felt like there was too much trivia crossed with too many general clues, but perhaps it was just one of those off days for me.
Have never heard of "ear laps," but that didn't hold me back. Enjoyed this puzzle a lot and loved the clue on the Alamo.
This is the exact same thing that happened to me! I only knew how to spell it because of Strands.
@Robyn It confused me so much too. I have never, in my entire life, seen mustard on a poboy. It's hot sauce, mayo, and ketchup.
Some good clues here, but I feel they were dragged down by some of the more "meh" clues and the unnecessary theme. I cringed as I typed out yeast, since I know it was what the puzzle was looking for, but it's also not exactly correct. I also only got NEA from filling in the downs, but others have commented on that already. Could also do without HGT and IRR. Loved NILLA and OREOS being together, though!
I loved this one! Went very quickly for me, mostly because I immediately got to fill in so many clues because of Electra Complex. Really enjoyed all the clues today and didn't find anything too obscure or annoying.
