This puzzle’s theme is eerily coincidental with the rough encounter my car had with a pothole just yesterday! Solved the crossword in Service Department waiting area. Aha!

Enjoyed the clever clue “70s Ford.” Guessing “Fairlane” (too long), “Pinto” (too short), and “Fiesta” (could fit). Since completing the puzzle, today I find myself smiling about GERALD Ford.

Unfamiliarity with the Irish title TAOISEACH made me curious to look up the pronunciation: TAY-shuh Charmed by the beauty of Gaelic words, both written and spoken.

Going with the theme, I stubbornly thought it would be an oRNURSE and SToPS could occur when one puts one’s foot down.
